Mark your calendar! The CRCDS 2018 Spring Lectures and Reunion, “The Power of Stories: Resist, Reclaim, Resurrect,” will be held Monday, April 2, 2018 through Thursday, April 5, 2018. This lecture series includes a rare opportunity to view the historic St. John’s Bible, on loan from St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota. The St. John’s Bible, the first hand-written and hand-illuminated Bible commissioned by a Benedictine monastery since the invention of the printing press, was create to “ignite the spiritual imagination of people around the world of all faith journeys.” Timothy Ternes, Director of the St. John’s Bible, presents the JC Wynn Lecture and conducts the Visio-Divina (“divine seeing”) on April 3rd and April 4th.

Highlights of the CRCDS 2018 Spring Lectures and Reunion include the 50th Class Reunion Dinner, Christian Faith and LGBT Experience Lecture, the Stuber Lecture (former CRCDS Professor, Dr. Christopher Evans, will lecture on Walter Rauschenbusch), a Calligraphy Workshop, a Bible study with the St. John’s Bible and events honoring alumni/ae, including presentation of the Distinguished Alumni/ae Award(s). All events will be held on the CRCDS campus.
