Dear CRCDS Community,
It is with mixed emotions that we announce that Dr. Deborah J. Rogers will be leaving Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School effective February 7, 2023. With new beginnings on her horizon, Dr. Rogers will be joining the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh as the Library's first Director of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, & Accessibility (IDEA). In this newly formed senior level position, Dr. Rogers will be responsible for the development, implementation, and management of strategies to align library services, programs, practices, and policies with the 127-year institution’s stated mission, values, and IDEA principles. In addition, she will collaborate with library departments to improve system-wide efforts in staff recruiting and retention, marketing campaigns, and public service programs.
We are very appreciative of the work that Dr. Rogers has contributed as both our chief academic officer and member of the Executive Leadership Team. While we will miss the leadership, vision, and service she brought in support of our mission and vision since she joined the CRCDS community on July 1, 2020, we are excited for her as she moves forward in her career.
Please join me in thanking Dr. Rogers for her service to our community. We look forward to celebrating her contributions to CRCDS later in January. Information will be sent out at a future time and posted to our website.
Yours in peace, service, and justice,
Rev. Angela D. Sims, Ph.D.
President
