Today, April 4, the CRCDS community will hold a moment of silence at 7:01 pm, Eastern Time, to commemorate the 54th anniversary of the assassination of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Dr. King was visiting Memphis, Tennessee to support a sanitation workers' strike when he was fatally shot while standing on the balcony of the Lorraine Motel on April 4, 1968.
Dr. King was a 1951 graduate of Crozer Theological School (CTS), which merged with Colgate Rochester Divinity School (CRDS) in 1970, to form what we know today as Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School (CRCDS).
