Dr. Jin Young Choi, CRCDS Associate Professor of New Testament and Christian Origins, recently introduced her students to the topic of Pseudepigraphy (false superscription). Dr. Choi described writings falsely attributed to well-known persons and explained why some of the letters that bear Paul’s names are disputed. In addition, students used pre-printed scripture cards to organize and understand the canonical and chronological orders of the New Testament letters. After learning about Paul’s life, the class will study each letter in detail, beginning with 1 Thessalonians, the earliest writing of Paul and in the New Testament.
