CRCDS is pleased to announce the new slate of officers for its Governing Board of Trustees for 2017-2018. Mr. Peter H. Abdella, Esq., a partner at Harter, Secrest and Emery LLP (Rochester, NY) and a member of Asbury First United Methodist Church, has been named Chair of the Board. Rev. Dr. Michael Ford (CRCDS ’12), Pastor of Lake Avenue Baptist Church (Rochester, NY), will serve as Vice Chair. The Rt. Rev. Jack M. McKelvey will also serve as Vice Chair; Rev. James C. Miller (CRDS ’63) will serve as Secretary. We are grateful for their leadership, expertise and support of our mission, and extend our sincere gratitude for their dedicated service. CRCDS President Dr. Marvin A. McMickle has been named Director of the Doctor of Ministry Program at CRCDS.  Dr. McMickle will add that position to his role as President.  Dr. McMickle is Professor of African American Religious Studies at CRCDS and will teach, “From Protest to Formation: African American Religious Traditions,” during Fall Intensives for D.Min. students, October 9-13, 2017. He will teach, “Preaching in the African American Tradition,” June 4-8, 2018.

Tom McDade Clay, Vice President of Institutional Advancement, has been named Chief Operating Officer at CRCDS. Mr. McDade Clay will oversee the day to day operations of CRCDS, including the strategic transition of the school during the sale of the campus and after. He will retain his position as Vice President of Institutional Advancement during the transition.
