The Ambrose Swasey Library and the Divinity School Bookstore will be closed June 18th – July 30th. Marge Nead will be preparing the school’s collection for the transition to a new location. If you have library books that have been recalled, please return them to the library ASAP.  If the door is locked, there is a return slot behind the piano.

If you request books from the Rush Rhees Library at the U of R, you may still pick them up at CRCDS. Rush Rhees is available for research.

About the Library

Located on the historic Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School campus, the Ambrose Swasey Library maintains a collection of more than 30,000 titles, as well as a beautiful reading room to support diverse programs on and off the CRCDS campus.

The Library is affiliated with the Rush Rhees Library at the University of Rochester, which maintains a three million volume collection less than two miles from the CRCDS campus. (Rush Rhees Library at the University of Rochester offers free parking after 7:00 PM and on weekends.)

Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School students, faculty and staff enjoy access to the full collection and services of the Rush Rhees Library through the Voyager online catalog using a student ID number. Materials can be delivered directly to the Ambrose Swasey Library within 48-72 hours.

Internet and wireless access is available, as well as on-campus access to the online electronic databases provided through the Rush Rhees Library, including the ATLA Religion Index.
