Statement of Educational Effectiveness

Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School is committed to effective education and preparation for a variety of Christian ministries in the Church and justice work in society as well as preparing future scholars and leaders in academia. As a measure of educational effectiveness, recent master’s level graduates (2018-2020) have the following placement rates:

  • 55% Parish Ministry
  • 3% Chaplaincy/Counseling
  • 6% Nonprofit/Social Work
  • 3% Denominational Administration
  • 3% Pursued additional Advanced Degree
  • 3% Higher Education Teaching/Administration
  • 27% Unknown/Miscellaneous

2020 Program Completion Rates

  • The completion rate for the Master of Divinity degree program is 64% within six years.
  • The completion rate for the Master of Arts degree program is 67% within four years. 
  • The completion rate for the Doctor of Ministry degree program is 29% within six years. (Note: The Doctor of Ministry Program has recently undergone review. Additional support is available for Doctor of Ministry students in the thesis writing process.)

2019 Program Completion Rates

  • The completion rate for the Master of Divinity degree program is 62% within six years.
  • The completion rate for the Master of Arts degree program is 100% within four years.
  • The completion rate for the Doctor of Ministry degree program is 100% within six years.
