Continuing Education for Clergy and Laity
The Graduate Certificate Studies Program provides continuing educational opportunities for both clergy and laity. Clergy are able to pursue concentrated study in specializations that are relevant to their ministry context; while laity can benefit from relevant theological education that will enhance the practice of a variety of professions.
Students in the program will take the standard three-credit graduate courses offered in the master’s level programs and complete all of the same work that is required of the degree students. The courses meet once a week for three hours with courses being offered during both day and evening time blocks.
Continuing Education Credit
Courses in the Graduate Certificate Studies Program qualify for continuing education units (CEUs). Each three-credit course earns 3.6 continuing education units (CEUs).
