About the Library

Located on the historic Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School campus, the Ambrose Swasey Library maintains a collection of more than 30,000 titles, as well as a beautiful reading room to support diverse programs on and off the CRCDS campus. The Library is affiliated with the Rush Rhees Library at the University of Rochester, which is itself a three million volume collection less than two miles from the CRCDS campus.

  • Our collection speaks to the theological inquiry that marks CRCDS; its faculty and students continue today to break new ground as they articulate their faith in the world.
  • Divinity school students, faculty and staff have access to the full collection and services of the Rush Rhees Library through the Voyager online catalog using a student ID number. Materials can be delivered directly to Ambrose Swasey within 48-72 hours.
  • Internet access is available at computer workstations during library hours, including wireless internet access.
  • Students also have on-campus access to the online electronic databases provided through Rush Rhees, including the ATLA Religion Index.

Access the online catalog.
