Independent Study (600-level) is open to all students regardless of grade point average, provided such students secure the permission of their advisor and the faculty member under whom they propose to do their work. Students must complete the Individual Study Form available in the Registrar's office. At the conclusion of the course, the students will receive both a grade and a written evaluation. A faculty member shall undertake to supervise no more than three students in Independent Study in any given semester, and normally a student will undertake no more than one unit of Individual Study in any given semester.
Directed Study (700-level) is individual study and research at a doctoral level open only to those enrolled in the D.Min. program. There are no restrictions on the number of Directed Studies a D.Min. student may undertake during any given semester. At the conclusion of the course, students will receive a letter grade.
