The joy of the season was evident as students, faculty and staff celebrated not only the anticipation of the Christmas season, but also the conclusion of the Fall semester. A highlight of the service was the sermon offered by Associate Professor of Old Testament Interpretation Dr. Mark Brummitt who urged those in attendance to consider the Kairos moment evident in the birth of the Christ child and to recognize the unique and unexpected moments of God’s in-breaking into our world. Following the service, the CRCDS celebrated the annual Christmas by the Hearth event where delicious food and festive singing made for a truly merry end to the semester.
