Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School is pleased to announce the appointment of Rt. Rev. Jack M. McKelvey as Chairperson of the Board of Trustees. McKelvey follows Rev. Stuart A. Mitchell III, who served in that role for three years.
Rev. McKelvey has been a member of the Board of Trustees since 1999 and served as interim President of the school for 18 months following the retirement of Dr. Eugene C. Bay, until the appointment of Dr. Marvin A. McMickle as President in October, 2012.
Rev. McKelvey, a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Rochester, NY was the 7th Bishop of the Diocese of Rochester serving from 2000 until he retired in 2008. A former Episcopal priest in Delaware and New Jersey, he received a Master's of Divinity and honorary doctorate degree from Virginia Theological Seminary.
The Board's new Chairperson is active in the community and volunteers his time and talents to many diverse causes. He has served on the Boards of Episcopal Senior Life Communities, Rochester Red Wings, Hobart and William Smith Colleges and Water for South Sudan.

On Saturday, May 31, 2014, President Marvin McMickle was the keynote speaker at the Facing Race, Embracing Equity Community Summit held at Asbury First United Methodist Church. The Sunday edition of the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle contains an article on the Summit in which President McMickle is quoted.
